Givinghearts.net is an online auction entity exclusively to assist not-for-profits with their fundraising efforts. All official status charities who maintain 501 tax statuses are eligible to utilize the services offered. The synergy for each individual charity comes when many charities send their donor base to the site to view what is offered; thus opening and expanding the network through the shared vision.
Giving Hearts offers a free listing for charities and their mission. There is no charge to place logo, description of services, hyper links back to the non profits site, or information about what each does. We encourage all charitable efforts to register with us and broaden their scope and donor base.
Once an organization is listed, at any time throughout their current registration, they may elect to place items they have been given or secured into our auction. We will assist, if necessary, with the technological piece of placing the item or items on the site. All restrictions or item information is determined by the organization placing the item on www.givinghearts.net. The opening or guaranteed bid is also determined by the organization as is the bid closing. Once the item sells, we notify the organization with the bidder's information so that they may contact and collect their money. A small percentage is charged on the selling price of the item and the organization is invoiced that fee once they have collected the bidder's final bid amount.
Giving Hearts philosophy is based on the nature of giving back. Buyers obtain something they want or need, and have the satisfaction that they have given something back in the process. They are encouraged to continue visiting the site whenever they need to buy anything, because their purchases have more intrinsic significance for them. For the non profits it is a vehicle to cut expenses from always having to do events to secure funds and also encourage retail establishments to also give and get the added exposure of a global marketplace.
Givinghearts.net has raised millions of dollars for a multitude of causes.
